The Disquiet

Passion for painting and existential disquiet were born with me. Since 1975 I expereinced several tecniques, including oil color. The paintings here rapresented date from 1999.

"... Thick, plastic, lit by vivid flashes (blue, yellow, red), his paint layer expands with power. It is a total approach strategy, tense, enveloping, to the figures, to the objects, to the atmosphere.

It's a kind of "surreal expressionism", profused of the materia-color sensuality, saturated with its internal tensions, which surpasses every distance from the observer, as if the observer and the figure, the landscape, or l'intérieur, were in senses contact.

His painting is located on the ridge between the visible and the visionary. The artist molds an analog space, made of familiar and unknown, hence the dreamy charm of its shapes brighted by colors, "troubled" by illogical overlapping representations, which refers to the experience of photography and to cross-fade effects cinema..."
